Fun Creative Ways to Engage your Kids on a Weekend

Fun Creative Ways to Engage your Kids on a Weekend

After spending more than 2 months at home with kids, we all want to get out and engage in some fun activities with our loved ones. Most of the time, we end up choosing a regular outing that includes a movie, an outing in the park, or having dinner at a restaurant. So Bunnypup has curated some fun, exciting, and entertaining activities that you can enjoy with your kids:

Balloon Sculpting

Balloon sculpting is an amazing way yo keep kids and adults engaged. Kids love the process of inflating a small looking object which turns big with air and then takes their favorite shape with which they can play. You can learn a new skill and who knows you might end up decorating your own home for your kid's birthday or any house party with different and funny balloon sculptures.

Pottery

Messy things are always the kid's favorite. When you attend a pottery workshop with your kid you make her understand the amount of hard work it takes to create a simple mug or a bowl. And when it comes to painting those cute little creations, it makes the whole process a lot more fun.

You can win a Hand Building Pottery workshop for father and kid at Thow Kwang Pottery Jungle sponsored by Bunnypup by participating in our Father's Day contest

Gardening

Gardening is more than just preparing a small place in your home for growing vegetables or flowers. It can also offer many other benefits such as helping the environment or providing stress relief by taking care of home gardens. When you give your kid a gift of gardening, you gift life. When they learn how a simple exercise of planting can heal too, they are addicted to it. By the way, do you know, gardening reduces your risk of stroke and burns calories too.

Teach them gardening, this will stay with them for life. National Parks is organizing a lot of wonderful gardening activities.

Baking

Baking is again one of the fun activities you can introduce your kid to early in life. How do they get that beautiful cake, pastries, and donuts on their birthday and parties? By attending a baking class, you can show them how some professionals spend hours before they can eat those delicious desserts. It can be very therapeutic.

You can arrange home-based bakers for a small class on baking or attend baking sessions organized by a lot of bakeries in Singapore. Some of them are Baker's View, Tottsstore, and GRA Baking Academy

Storytelling

Kids love to listen to stories. Imagine how fun it would be when they will get to know that the story they listen to every night from their grandparents, parents, sibling or a friend, is an art. Learn with them how you can tell a story to an audience, engage them, and make them travel to another country, another era just through their imagination and powerful storytelling.

You can attend a lot of structured storytelling sessions organized by the Singapore Public Library.
